Programs

During the years of operation of SNCC, students became very active in the community and developed many programs. This first and foremost being the sit-ins held all across the south, where they would non-violently and silently voice their discontent for segregation and Jim Crow laws by sitting at lunch counters that were for whites only until being escorted out, most of the time after being physically assaulted and before being arrested.
